PACE Collier hires new executive Director

PACE Center for Girls Inc. Collier at Immokalee is pleased to announce the search for a new Executive Director has resulted with great success. Marianne Kearns, M.Ed. has been appointed the new Executive Director of PACE Collier.

No stranger to at risk girls, Kearns has worked in both the PACE Pasco and PACE Lee centers as both a Program Manager and Program Director. She briefly left PACE twice, the first time moving to South Carolina as a therapist and the second time to work in a Department of Juvenile Justice girls dual diagnosis residential facility. Missing the PACE program and the girls so much compelled her to return.

The girls of Collier County and the community of Immokalee are lucky to have Kearn's experience, love, and respect for the PACE mission, philosophy and guiding principles as a strong foundation for her new position. Great things are on the horizon for PACE Collier under Kearn's leadership.

PACE Girls learn to cook with the sun!

Summer at PACE Collier was a good time for the girls to engage in activities that were both educational and fun. Thanks to a generous grant received from Florida Power & Light, PACE girls learned about solar power and good eating habits by building their own solar ovens. The entire project, which was comprised of many different elements, took most of the summer to complete.
