PACE Manatee is located in Bradenton, Florida and has served over 1,200 girls since opening its doors in 1989. PACE Manatee strives to partner with community leaders to not only increase awareness of the needs of girls, but to provide our girls with new opportunities. If you would like to learn more about PACE Manatee or how you can make a difference, please contact us.
Our hearts are full after the Because We Believe dinner, hosted by Sharon and Bob Hillstrom on Friday, April 13. Committed supporters of PACE gathered for an inspirational evening which included testimonies from two young women who are PACE success stories; and remarks from Durand Adams who was instrumental in bringing PACE to Manatee County – who added his own testimonial about PACE:
“I believe in PACE because after all these years, it works and transforms lives.”
The financial goal was far surpassed and will be used to replace governmental cuts in funding to our Academic Program.
The best way to learn more is to visit and see what PACE is all about in person. Several times a quarter, PACE offers "Passports to PACE." These events are only one hour and include a brief history, tour, and time to talk to the girls. If you are interested in volunteering, donating, or just learning about services in the community, this is the perfect opportunity!
The passport schedule for the next few months is listed below, but we would be happy to schedule a time that is convenient for you or your group.

The location of the Lucky Ducky Race for PACE has changed... the 2012 race will still be held on July 14th, 2012, but it has been moved to the Tarpon Pointe Grill & Tiki Bar! We are very excited about this new venue and look forward to everyone joining Quacky to cheer on their ducklings to the finish line! First prize is still $5,000 in gift cards to Publix... so adopt your duck today at www.duckrace.com/manatee.
Don’t forget to save the date for the Ducks in Paradise “Ducktail Party” the night before the big race on July 13, 2012. Great food, games, silent auction, music & more, PLUS the “Best Dressed Duck” Corporate Quacky Challenge, which will definitely “quack” you up! Remember... Adopt a Duck... Help a GIRL!
On January 14, 2012, over 80 little girls were treated to a magical evening at the Snowflake Ball, all benefiting PACE Center for Girls. In only its third year, the Ball sold out almost a month before the event and has become a signature event for girls in Manatee County.

A little summer fun never hurt anyone!
As a year round program, the summer gives girls a chance to really catch up on their academics. But with the sun shining outside, sometimes it is a little hard to focus... and building relationships through fun is what PACE is all about! Do you remember those long summer days with no responsibilities, only time to play and bond with your best friend? Most PACE girls don't have that luxury... not only do they need to make up credits academically, but they may have the responsibility to care for siblings or their families just don't have the resources or transportation for relaxing summer activities. PACE understands the importance of "just being a girl" and makes having a little fun a priority.
