Ocala, FL (September 2, 2010) - At a time when financial support is not certain for many non-profit organizations, PACE Center for Girls of Marion County can count on State Representative Chuck Chestnut.
Representative Chestnut recently supported PACE Center for Girls of Marion County with a $1,000 donation, making his total support to date $3,500. He believes in supporting programs like PACE that not only prevent juvenile delinquency, but build character and citizenship in youth.
"I truly believe in all that PACE does for the young women of our community," said Representative Chestnut.
Thank you Representative Chestnut for your support!
PACE Center for Girls is a non-residential, gender-specific program for girls ages 12-18, who are experiencing difficulty or conflict in school and at home. PACE’s purpose is to intervene and prevent high school drop-outs, juvenile delinquency, teen pregnancy, drug and alcohol addiction and welfare dependency. PACE promotes and enables young women to complete their education, build self-esteem, and develop personal, social and family relationship skills. Building on this foundation, the students become productive citizens through responsible decision making. There is no charge for the students to attend the program.
