Pace Center for Girls of Polk County was awarded the 2009 Impact Lakeland Grant for the centers Read to Succeed Program. This grant was made possible by the generosity of the George W. Jenkins Fund within the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland.

The Pace Center for Girls Literacy Project will provide educational materials such as computers, books, videos, DVD’s, and computer programs with interactive reading curriculum, to approximately 103 girls between the ages of 12 and 18 who attend PacePolk annually. This project will ensure our girls embrace reading and continue to succeed academically.
