Women's Engagement Team

Thank you for your interest in The Women’s Engagement “WE” Team, a group of dedicated community leaders who support the mission, vision and philosophy of Pace Center for Girls Miami. The WE Team comes together with time, talents and treasures to enhance the work being done at Pace Miami around their culture of CARING, LEARNING, PURPOSE and RESULTS.

Pace Miami opened its doors to the Miami Community in 2014 as an innovative prevention and intervention program providing year-round academic and social services that address the needs of girls ages of 11-17. Pace offers a holistic approach with small classroom instruction, one-on-one counseling, case management, health and wellness coaching, life-skills training, career preparation and more. The program develops an individualized approach based on each girl’s unique strengths, life experiences, and needs empowering girls to realize their true and full potential.

Activities the WE Team supports:

Monthly Career Days and yearly Career Week – bringing in community leaders to share their career experiences with the girls preparing them for life after Pace
Spirit Week – participating in fun activities 4 times per year allowing the girls to show their Pace Spirit
Graduation Day – recognizing and celebrating the girls graduating high school and those who have completed their middle school requirements and are moving up to high school
Girls Speaker Series – Inspiring speakers motive and uplift the girls helping them find and use their voices
Holiday Celebrations – providing the girls with a Thanksgiving Luncheon and a special Holiday Celebration to create a time of festivities for all
Pace Annual Events – planning and supporting Pace events such as the Night with the Mockingbirds, Trivia Night and more
Morning Coffee or Happy Hour with Pace – Bringing together friends and colleagues introducing them to Pace Center for Girls
Pace Community Connections – connecting Pace to corporate and community partners in our Miami community
Fundraising for Pace – assisting Pace Miami in its fundraising efforts

How can you become a member of the WE Team? Please complete the WE Team application online.

What are the expectations of a member of the WE Team?

Participate in WE Team monthly virtual meetings
Serve on at least one WE Team committee
Support the efforts of the other WE Team committees
Identify other members of the community who may be potential candidates for the WE Team and invite them to join the group
Support Pace Center for Girls Miami
